We will keep them informed about the most pressing issues for the Disabled and give them ways to act. We will lobby elected representatives using the Internet and World Wide Web’s resources. Forming an Online Media Network of Web sites - Posting on Blogs, Discussion Forums, Community Groups. As well as Taking Action, Online Letters, Emails, Messages, Petitions, Polls etc. We'll bring attention to the needs and concerns of Disabled by demanding that the news media cover our issues. We will work with other group’s online efforts and other organizations that are doing related work to magnify our impact. When we come together and speak with one voice, we cannot be ignored. Let's all become the “Fighting Voices for Disabled Community”. Who Is Edward Janus? He is the founder and owner of this website. Born May 30, 1953 and grew up in Chicago, now lives in Northlake, IL. A 1973 High School graduate. Has Cerebral Palsy, deaf and amputee (both legs) confined to a wheelchair. Is homebound and shut-in most of the time. Worked to earn a living for 25 years until November 1995 then cervical spinal problems forced him into an early disability retirement. Had over ten surgeries on cervical spinal column (neck area) in is lifetime. Now has been on permanent Social Security Disability since 1996. Was married January 1989 and has a daughter born October 1990. Ten years later in 1999 his wife was hit by an automobile, while crossing a street, and killed. He now lives alone. He receive only one (1) household income. A Disability Social Security check monthly. You can reach him by email; all his activities and tasks are completed via Internet.
