WhiteHouse.gov is the official web site for the White House and President of the United States. This site is a source for information about the President, White House news and policies, White House history, and the federal government.

Disabled American Veterans

The official site of Disabled American Veterans. The DAV is an organization of disabled veterans who are focused on building better lives for disabled veterans and their families. Through a wide network of state-level Departments and local Chapters, DAV extends its mission of hope to communities where disabled veterans and their families live.  DAV services include help with disability compensation, VA pension, death benefits, VA medical care, Social Security disability benefits, veterans' job programs, and much, much more. Freedom is not free.

U.S. Department of Labor - Office of Disability Employment Policy

The Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP) provides national leadership on disability employment policy by developing and influencing the use of evidence-based disability employment policies and practices, building collaborative partnerships, and delivering authoritative and credible data on employment of people with disabilities. FCC Disability Rights Office Homepage

The Disability Rights Office (DRO) addresses disability-related telecommunications matters, including telecommunications relay service (TRS) (Section 225), access to telecommunications equipment and services by persons with disabilities (Section 255), access to emergency information, and closed captioning. DRO also provides expert advice and assistance, as required, to other Bureaus and Offices, consumers, industry, and others on issues relevant to persons with disabilities. DRO initiates rulemakings, where appropriate, for the development of disability policy; reviews relevant agenda items and other documents and coordinates with Bureaus and Offices to develop recommendations and propose policies to ensure that communications are accessible to persons with disabilities, in conformance with existing disability laws and policies, and that they support the Commission's goal of increasing accessibility of communications services and technologies for persons with disabilities.
